At Sports Pro Physical Therapy a licensed physical therapist will perform an extensive musculoskeletal evaluation and identify your functional limitations. By taking the time to listen to details about your lifestyle, work situation and your desired goals, we are able to determine the best course of therapy for you. A treatment plan is then developed and reviewed with you and a report of the evaluation and treatment plan is sent to your referring physician.

At Sports Pro physical Therapy we use a progressive approach to treat our patients that helps them reach their goals and assist them in returning to a healthy and active lifestyle.

Your treatment may include modalities and manual techniques used to decrease pain, promote healing, improve strength, and restore function and mobility. They include the following:

* Manual Therapy (Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, Soft Tissue Massage, Strain Counter-strain and Muscle Energy)

* Moist Heat/ Cryotherapy

* Ultrasound

* Electrical Stimulation

* Therapeutic Exercise (core strengthening, stabilization, and postural exercises)

* Cervical and Lumbar traction

An individualized therapeutic exercises program is developed and performed in the clinic. An essential part of every patient’s rehab program, home exercises are given for clinic-to-home carryover.

Work Conditioning:

This program is designed to assist patients in the transition to return to work. Patients are seen up to four hours, three to five times weekly. Therapeutic exercises are used to address strength, range of motion, balance and coordination limitations. Also, work task simulation is performed to prepare the patient to meet their job demands. Work tasks are progressively graded in a safe manor to assist the patient reach their maximum potential. Body mechanic training is an integral part of this program. Patients are instructed on proper lifting and bending techniques that assist in injury reoccurrence.

Fitness Training and Maintenance Program

Personal Training: One-to-One

You will work with a licensed physical therapist that will assess your strengths and weakness. An individualized fitness plan based on you fitness goals will be developed and training will be held two to three times weekly in the clinic.

Maintenance Program:

Patients who have completed physical therapy and would like to continue working on strength, flexibility, balance or coordination have the opportunity to utilize the clinic's equipment to continue their progress. A maintenance plan is developed by the therapist and updated periodically.
